The Department of Art is a Perth-based prop and costume house, created by designers, for designers. We aim to supply the Perth and Western Australian film and television industry with quality props and costumes for hire at affordable prices. 

We’re enthusiastic about all aspects of the art department and are excited about being a part of the burgeoning Perth film industry.

Sustainability is a driving force behind our business, and we’re committed to minimising waste and reducing the environmental impact of our industry. We source the majority of our stock second-hand, and we strive to fill our catalogue with a diverse range of items to accommodate the needs of designers, set decorators, and prop masters locally.
